Situated in Silverdale just 25 minutes north of Auckland Harbour, Snowplanet is the Southern Hemisphere’s leading year-round indoor snow dome. Operating across an expansive 8,000-square-metre sub-zero arena, the complex houses a 200-metre slope dropping 40 vertical metres. Maintained at a crisp -3°C with genuine machine-made snow, the slope is smartly partitioned into recreational cruising zones, progressive terrain park features with rails and kickers, and an isolated learner slope serviced by multiple magic carpet lifts.

Midweek mornings (Monday to Wednesday between 10:00 and 14:00) offer wide open runs and minimal wait times on the platter lifts.
Gradual to intermediate pitch spanning a 200m run with a gentle initial drop that flattens out into an expansive runout. The piste is divided into a cruising run, a dedicated terrain park lane, and a gentle separate novice nursery pitch.
